Culture Night 2023
I publicly spoke for the first time since 2020, and it was FUN?! *NOT CLICKBAIT*
Hello everyone!!
It’s the morning after the night before and I am feeling extremely accomplished, slightly hungover, but mainly relaxed. I’d been nervously anticipating culture night for the last number of weeks, as public speaking has always been something that scares me, even if I seem to keep doing it.
It was so wonderful to be asked to take part in this panel with such great company @theshnugpodcast @gaffneyandy and Caroline (who was a fabulous host!). Being the podcast newbie in the group should have been daunting, but the way Andy and Richard were so welcoming ensured I felt at ease.
I have to thank my dear Rab (co-host of The Celtic Tales Chronicles) for getting me involved with podcasting in the first place and recording the panel so effortlessly. We will have the audio of the panel up on Patreon soon, and the link can be found here on Podbean https://theceltictaleschronicles.podbean.com/
Rab and I have been friends since 2018, and last night was the first time we actually took a photo together - long over due and sure don’t we just look lovely.
It was a great experience, and afterwards I headed to an event for Mexico independence day with some friends and did what I always do when I’m in Salthill, which is take off my shoes, hike up my skirt and run into the water, against cheers from friends far too sensible to track sand into the car (again).
Finally thank you so much to my twin sister Alison, and our friends Al, Michelle, Fernanda, Pam and Liam for coming along and making me feel so so loved! More photos and videos from the event can be seen on my Instagram @TheKerryGraham
I don't even know you, but I'm happy for you! It sounds so exhilarating, especially after the Covid time bubble. I wish you all the best in the future.
